Must-see video: Coal CEO routs green reporter

November 19, 2009

Unlike most fossil fuel company CEOs, Massey Energy’s Don Blankenship knows his global warming.

Nevertheless, in a new interview, E&E TV reporter Monica Trauzzi seems bent on making a fool of him

Blankenship, however, is more than up to the challenge.

Click here to watch the duel and/or read the transcript.

If more U.S. CEOs were as knowledgable and articulate as Blankenship, our nation wouldn’t be on the precipice of a swan dive into junk science-fueled totalitariansim.

These CO2 arguments remind me of the reason there are no elephants on the streets of San Francisco.

I met a guy there who was waving a stick on a street corner. I was intrigued, so I walked up to him and asked what he was doing.

He said “I’m scaring away the elephants.”

I said to him, “But there are no elephants in SF.”

He beamed back enthusiastically. “Effective, isn’t it!!”

Now if we have a problem, like melting ice and rising sea levels, we need to be very sure we are addressing the real cause of the problem.

And if it isn’t CO2, but it is microparticulate, or sunspots, then we better get the meteorologists in every country to start pooling their data so we have some real observations.

“… in countries such as Germany, France and the United Kingdom, the national meteorological services will provide data sets only when researchers specifically request them, and only after a significant delay. The lack of standard formats can also make it hard to compare and integrate data from different sources. Every aspect of this situation needs to change: if the current episode does not spur meteorological services to improve researchers’ ease of access, governments should force them to do so.”

And my message for Governments, get cooperating together before you start raising trillions of dollars of extra carbon taxes and depressing the world economy to the point where the world is starving and without power.

Even before Climategate there was nothing at all to back up the global warming thesis. The claim has always been that carbon dioxide is causing warming. The warmers themselves have established a set of things that would be happening if their thesis was correct. They couldn’t even find their own evidence. Even the skeptics agree that those things would be happening if CO2 was warming the Earth. But to this day no one can find that evidence.

So much for global warming (or climate change if you prefer).

    Scientific Doomsday Mania
    Amitakh Stanford
    22nd November 2009

There is a doomsday message that is swiftly gaining global acceptance. The new wave is clothed in acceptable clichés and has won over the support of many of the respected scientific communities.

Unlike most other doomsday messages, this one is supposedly based upon scientific evidence. The scientific “doomsdayers” wear masks and pretend that they are predicting calamities based on hard evidence. This lulls the unsuspecting public into absolute belief and acceptance of the doomsdayers’ ravings.

If the same message were given in a spiritual setting, the adherents would probably be encouraged to turn to God in preparation for the final days. Generally, scientists have sneered at and mocked spiritual predictions regarding the end times, and the same scientists have convinced the general public to do likewise. Further, governments of the world use their police powers to suppress, restrict, or even eliminate these spiritual-based groups. Scientists have now one-upped the spiritual believers by supporting their dire predictions of calamity with supposed scientific evidence. Using their scientific clout, they have now convinced most of the world leaders to meet in Copenhagen. The stated agenda of the gathering is to halt global warming with a unified and urgent approach.

People may remember that there have been similar gatherings to solve the global economic crisis. In those meetings, every leader attending was told to boost their economies by stimulus spending. By and large, the world leaders have dutifully followed those dictates. One might ask: Is the global recession over due to this unified approach – or is it deepening? Many thinking economists have finally realized the latter to be the case.

Were the carbon traders truly concerned that global warming is a seriously urgent issue, they could perhaps justify following their untested carbon-trading notion. But if it were an urgent situation, why would they offer a solution that will take decades to take effect? If they have decades to work on the solution, by definition, it cannot be that urgent. And, if they have decades to implement their plan, could they not spend at least a few years or even a few months openly and transparently debating which course of action will save the planet from its imminent death?

To demonstrate the absurdity of the current “green” position, consider that they are proposing massive increases in nuclear power because it is supposed to be carbon friendly. The nuclear proponents do not seem to care about the disposal of nuclear waste from these sites. This means that they are presenting an extremely short-sighted solution, which is not really a solution at all. Besides, the proponents of expanding nuclear power want to tremendously restrict who can and who cannot use nuclear power. For instance, Iran and North Korea are presently being ostracized for, among other things, having nuclear-power programmes. This is a glaring instance where part of the real agenda of the ruling elite shows through; the nuclear proponents are not as concerned about global warming as they are with political dominance.

As indicated earlier, humans are only marginally responsible for global warming. The hotter sun is undeniable, and it is the main reason for global warming.

This would be all well and good if it could be believed that scientists are acting in the people’s best interests. But, since when have scientists been assumed to be altruistic? Why is it accepted that they will only act in the best interests of humans? And why should it be accepted that the scientists are correct about human causes of global warming?

The carbon-trading schemes, and other emissions-based solutions presented by the ruling elite’s scientific doomsdayers, will not solve global warming. But, if they get their way, they will change the lives of people for the worse.

Here is some recommended reading. I call it “The Unjust Death of the Medieval Warm Period”.

    Check it:

Its great because it is an e-mail so the chronology is backwards (upside down technically). So at first you would think these guys do actually have consciences about the claims they are preparing to make. But as you read down to the core of the discussion any such illusions are shattered.

Man I would love to punch these motherfuckers in the face…

Hilarious, but even more hilarious in light of today’s revelations proving that CRU data, IPCC scientists and numerous “Peer reviewed” articles in prominent journals are fraudulent, and purposeful fabrications. Furthermore these lies perpetrated in direct response to the unavoidable fact that THERE IS NO GLOBAL WARMING. This straight from the mouths and hands of the very same IPCC scientists who led us to believe that there was. Check out Climate Depot if you haven’t already…

I hereby declare November 20th the new Earth Day…

I should look and see what state this gentleman comes from but I would almost bet he is from Kentucky , coal operators are no one to mess with they are cunning and they are sometimes ruthless. Not to say he is a low life by no means he just dots his i’s and crosses his t’s The guy is so far ahead of her she had no chance to do what she wanted and that was paint him as a greedy coal company CEO wanting to kill everyone for a dollar. I sure do appreciate him to no end. I would love to know this guy . The reporter is so typical of liberal people she ignored what is said and just goes on like nothing has happened . countless studies? so there are so many you can’t count them? no way you can count them on one hand and it is the IPCC study period . Not studies but lies and hidden things covered up in pure rhetoric,it is political and I believe the senate will have so much pressure on them they will not pass it, I know I will not let up on my senators.

This brother did not fall into any of this Barbra Streisand look-alike’s traps. In fact it was simple for him verbally slap her around. Her questions were so general and simplistic that a 3rd grader could have answered them. So goes the childish world of enviro-fascism.
