Carbon tax coming to the EU?

The European Union’s taxation commissioner plans to propose a new two-part fuel tax, split into a carbon tax of 20 euros per ton of CO2 and a minimum energy tax on motor fuels and heating fuels. (Reuters).

    Ah, the magic word “tax.” Now does it come clear to the faithful that the Parson is passing the plate? Can you see the hand of God coming after your evil carbon molecules? When will you see what a big, bad joke this has all been for you to tremble over a trace when it was the tax that should have struck fear in your beating little heart.
